Nice shot, the bottom of the wheel is there because it isn't moving (it's in contact with the ground). The top of the tire is moving the most (relative to the ground). Adds up to a great effect. Agree that B&W works a treat here. Nice work and an extremely well timed shot, well framed. Jon M
Well, it was half-planned. I was sitting on the curb attempting to get the smoke coming out of the manhole and noticed that a bike was about to come by, so I decided to try to capture the bike too. The fact that a woman was walking by, framed by the bike tire, was pure luck.
As for why the top of the tire is clear, I'm not quite sure. I'm only the guy who pushes the button...
I think this is a really interesting perspective, Camera Slug...B&W is a good choice too. Now, how in the world is the top of the wheel clear...and was this a planned shot? Nice capture. MFC
