For this challenge, entries should be composed with or significantly enhanced by the play of light and shadow, together. Shadows and light can highlight certain elements of the composition, create patterns or texture, enhance depth or perception, isolate particular subjects while hiding others, or abstractly creating the composition itself. Since it is an element of both shadow and light, silhouette entries are also valid; a foreground subject silhouetted against a lit background, or a silhouetted background with a prominently lit foreground subject - both are dependent on the play between light and shadow.
