The Rue Claude Monet runs through the village of Giverny and the Chemin du Roy follows the banks of the River Epte. The house and flower gardens of Monet, shown in the top part of this plan, lie between them. The water garden, in the lower part of the plan, is connected to the flower garden by a tunnel beneath the Chemin du Roy.
The flower garden is divided into beds where flower clumps of different heights and volumes are separated by narrow alleys. There are climbing roses, long -stemmed hollyhocks, colored banks of annuals, and both fruit and ornamental trees. The flower garden is filled with 100,000 perennials and another 100,000 annuals that are replaced each year.
