FA-18 ordinance mounting and ejection system

In 1978 I worked for Emerson Electric and wrote the software that controls these ejection systems. I’m sure the software I wrote is no longer in use but the hardware looks very familiar. The two shiny cylinders are small pistons driven by a small explosive charge that propel the ordinance away from the wing. Some types of ordinance if not ejected with force will get sucked up into the wing and impact the aircraft.
