Burrowing Owl

A small owl of open country, 9-11 inches, often seen by day standing erect on the ground or on posts. Bobs and bows when agitated. (from Peterson Field Guides, Western Birds)

This shot is from yesterday. It is my first owl. It was a good day so I'll be posting a couple more shots in my PaD.
