Killdeer executing a sharp right turn.

I realize the focus is a little soft but it's hard to catch these guys when they're ''sitting still'' let alone in flight. I feel very lucky to have gotten this shot.

Muriah, he's doing a snap turn (very sharp). His wings and body are at 90 degrees to the water but his head is still level. Don't know how he does it but he can make a right angle turn in a little over the length of his body.

Wow Nifty capture. Thumbnail is puzzling and intriguing... appears to be looking down on the underside of a bird flying above the surface of the water. !~ like upside down
