Great potential subject. Lots of intricate whirley gigs to represent a "focus" for the picture. The fact that many of them are not in the field of focus doesn't matter, provided that one of the logical key focus points is indeed ... in focus. Here the central knob is in focus but perhaps only just. At this stage, why not enhance the brass colour a fraction overall and select the knob tweak the shapening on the central knob until it positively scratches your eyeball. This is a well seen pic with lots of genuine (not JUST potential) interest . I can't find the exif for this image but I suspec that the aperture was set to something like f4 or f5.6. I'd try it again with about f11-13. Don't go too far. You still want much of the pic out of focus.
