The Virginai Creeper trail hugged a creek - I forget its name - that chortles down Whitetop Mountain, and provides many scenes like this one.

The Creeper is named for the little engine that headed the railroad that once ran along the path. It was small and slow, and became known as the Virginia Creeper.
