1945 Pellet Rifle and Box

This is actually two projects.
The first project was to restore a 1945 Benjamin 312 Air Rifle that belonged to my father. I took the gun completely apart. Wet sanded all parts with 600 grit. Then carefully painted all parts with a glossy black paint. I went with glossy because it will not be a hunting gun plus glossy is what I had in the garage. I stripped the finish off the wood parts (I think they are mahagany). Thoroughly sanded with 220 and 400 grit. Then refinished with stain and polycrylic.
The second project was to build a custom box for the rifle. The sides and lid are solid red oak. The bottom is oak plywood. The box features a little area for ammunition and parts and two "stands" for the barrel.
