The wall in the background of this shot is the overflow from the Menin Gate; it contains the names of those missing and presumed dead...33,783 of them.
My great aunt's first husband was killed and according to CWGC he is buried in Tyne Cot and his name is on panel 54 to 60 and 163A. I would love to visit and maybe sometime in the future I will. The memorial has featured today on BBC hence this e-mail. It brings it home when you see the wall and all it's panels what a tragic waste of young men. I have several family members who lost their lives in WW1 but only one as far as I know in Tynecot. Do you know of organisation who visit on a regular basis and would be willing to take a photograph for me of the appropriate panel ?
