Scotland 2009 - Sutherland

Some photos from a week touring around the north west of Scotland, wild-camping
in the wild, glaciated, empty, and astoundingly beautiful county of Sutherland
in the north west highlands. This is my favorite part of Scotland and never
fails to make my jaw drop, this trip being no exception.

I love this gallery, Steve - you've captured the majesty of the far north-west superbly, from vast sunny land- and seascapes through spectacular sunsets to overcast and cloudy days. Jaw-dropping is such an apt way to describe Sutherland, and your exquisite photos complement the landscape perfectly...a wonderful gallery which makes me quite homesick! V++

Beautiful Scottish scenery only made even more glorious by your images here! Love your "new house" and hope you don't "modernise" it and wreck that beautiful view. So glad you got some SUN too, which makes all the difference. We all know that sunlight is at a premium in Scotland. Well done, Steve!
