The moon? No!, the Ricoh is good, but not that good! This is a piece of blast furnace slag, as used as ballast on some of our older railways.
(ps the longer I stare at this, the craters appear as raised bumps... very strange!)

Strange it got me the other way round - my first look saw pebbles then it changed to craters! Great, puzzling abstract!
