My shadow, shown here risking his life to get the shot. I spent 10 minutes shooting this snake and came away covered in sweat, figuring that I had pushed it enough. What made it worse, was that the rattler had been cut off so I couldn't hear the "loud/soft" rattle to tell me how pissed off the snake was and had to rely more on strike posture.
