Git ready, folks, she's a-comin'! It's Friday morning, and we've battened down the hatches.
3:00 update: It's beginning to rain a little and the wind's picked up. Getting closer!
8:00 pm update: The wind is howling now. Pics of the sky are towards the end of the gallery. It was such a pretty afternoon for a while there, the boys all swam even! Now, everyone's hunkered down.
8:00 pm update, Saturday night: It's over, folks! Thankfully, we made it through with just a few hours of no electricity, some branches and limbs down, and a few overturned fences. We were really, really lucky here in Katy, TX. We're about 35 miles from downtown Houston, West of the city for those who wanted to know! Check out the "Aftermath" gallery for photos of damage, though compared to what's coming in out of Galveston and other areas, it's not really damage.
