Originally built in 1766 by refugee French Huguenots, it then passed to the Universalist Baptists, the Unitarian Baptists, the Scottish Baptists, and the Salem Chapel.
Bought by a Jewish Burial Society in 1867, and then became a Synagogue. Still in use for services on weekday afternoons, alternate Sabbaths, and Festivals .
