BABS is a historic world landspeed record car (171mph in 1926)powered by a 27 litre Liberty aero engine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babs_(land_speed_record_car) Pendine Sands was the Welsh equivalent of Daytona Beach - 7 miles of good sand but speeds soon got too high even for that.
