I wanted to set up the new relays and power supply where they would be accessible...and where they could also be moved out of the way if need be. So, the right side of the center console was the logical location.
I took a piece of paneling, sized it to fit down behind the carpeting, and mounted the support for the power junction block and the two 40 amp relays I would be using.
The relay on the left is wired in to be activated by the stock fuel pump relay, preserving the safety shutdown feature, while removing the current load from the stock relay. That relay then powers the uprated stock wiring to the fuel pumps AND the extra wiring that I had installed a few years ago for the manual override. Each of those circuits is fused 16 amps.
The right relay is for the new manual override circuit, and is controlled by an illuminated toggle switch in the center console. That relay powers 10 gauge wiring through a 25 amp fuse.
The corrugated protecto-wrap you see there is carrying the power feeds that go to the fuel pumps, back over to the driver's side of the wagon, and on back.
...just about right...
