Here we can see the motor starting to look like a motor again.

I installed the manifold and turbo; and completed the hook ups of the oiling system for the turbo, as well as the oil cooler. I also connected a 100psi mechanical oil pressure gauge to the oil line tap I had installed at the rear of the cylinder head: it is visible at the top of the image.

With the oiling system all back together, and before installing the timing belt and front cover, I was able to prime the lubrication system....and verify that I had no leaks around the turbo or the oil cooler. AND I was able to watch the oil pressure build on the gauge as I rotated the intermediate shaft. It is always reassuring to see 40psi just from spinning the intermediate shaft by hand. Initial oil pressure when the engine was started and run was 60+psi cold; and 53+psi hot...and that is at the point of lowest oil pressure in the system.
