what max lift on the A looks like...intake valve

The tight squish B230FT engine will have 0.037in piston to head clearance. The T cam will not lift the valve above the deck of the head.

I wanted to know how high the A cam lifts the valve above the surface of the head, for future reference: to know if the A cam would transform the engine into an interference motor or not.

On the uncut test cylinder head, the A cam lifts the intake valve 0.020in above the deck surface. No problem with valve to piston interference. Even in the cylinder head that has been surfaced 0.007in for the project engine, the intake valve would not hit the piston, if the A cam were installed.

Yes, it doesn't look like it; but that valve is 0.020in above the deck. That valve is open a total of 0.398in.
