This gallery highlights my travels to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Rothenburg odT is a town in the district of Ansbach of Mittelfranken (Middle Franconia), the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany, and represents a great example of a well-preserved walled medieval old town. In 1274, Rothenburg became a Free Imperial City and at the time was one of the 20 largest cities of the Holy Roman Empire.
While I was there, the weather started out with some peaks of sun, but quickly turned again to continuous rain. This was disappointing due to the potential of pictures of old buildings and the fact the town is located on a plateau overlooking the Tauber river. When I woke up the next morning, a surprise snowfall greeted me, with all the buildings and valley covered in white. Eventually the sun even came out, which melted the snow, but led to some good photo opportunties of the town.
