Palm Springs

This gallery highlights pictures taken in and around Palm Springs in November 2011. Specific destinations included Palm Canyon, Andreas Canyon, and the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Centuries ago, ancestors of the Agua Caliente Cahuilla Indians settled around the Palm Springs area and developed communities throughout the Canyons. Due to year round water, the area ensured stable living conditions. With the nearby mountains, the climate can range from desert to alpine in just a few miles. It's amazing to go from groves of palm trees to snow, wind, and cold all in one day. Hope you enjoy the gallery!
