Fall 2008

This gallery highlights pictures taken during the fall of 2008. With an early season snowfall in early October over the higher mountains, the season was shaping up to be excellent. A very hard and unusual freeze ended the season rather quickly as leaves turned brown and fell off over much of the area before peak color. However, even with that disadvantage, there were photo opportunities to take advantage of, and the early season snowfall made for a rare combination of fall color and winter snows.
