Timber Ridge Golf course - Minocqua, Wisconsin

I went outside just before 11:00pm CDT to close the shutter on my camera after doing a star trails shot and to my surprise I see these ghostly apparitions of aurora flickering and pulsing over the western horizon. The photos were taken over a 45 minute period after which the aurora faded out. Very beautiful and eerie at the same time.
