There are six tunnels in the walls of the castle. They were used to move soldiers quickly from one area of the fort to another unseen by the enemy. This is the longest one. It goes from the back of the fort to the main plaza. The tunnels had channels into which gunpowder could be packed to demolish them if they fell to the enemy.
