Look at the top right of this shot for an idiot who is getting far too close to the fragile rock at the brink. Almost no one is killed here by lava because it moves slowly and self protective instinct turns people away from the intense heat, but people often die because the ground gives way beneath them or because they get too close to poison gases from vents.
