Harlequins are among the rarest ducks in my area. Usually we see only 3 or 4 a year. They stop here at Lake Ontario on their northerly migration to feed for a week or two before they continue on to the Canadian Arctic. I always await their arrival with great anticipation. This year it looks like the same three that we saw last March-April.
