Hummingbird Ruby-throated DSC_7533_small.jpg

This hardy hummingbird is the only one that migrates
across the Gulf of Mexico,while all others follow the coast.
They arrive in Alberta about May 19 or so, and do not generally
appear west of the Rocky Mountains.
