USAF Thunderbirds

The United States Air Force F-16 demonstration team, the THUNDERBIRDS, visited Elmendorf for the 2008 Arctic Thunder Air Show, also as part of Alaska's 50th anniversary of statehood. It was an amazing show -- much better than the Thunderbird demonstration as part of the airshow at Mtn Home AFB a few years back when Thunderbird-6 crashed on the tarmac during his first maneuver (literally). Nice to see these guys and gals (T-bird-5 is Maj. Samantha Weeks) do it right this time! Their 2008 Arctic Thunder performance was very well done.
