Dall's Sheep

Often called "mountain goats" by folks who view them, these sheep are generally easily seen throughout the summer along the Turnagain Arm (Seward Highway) between Anchorage and Girdwood. Interestingly, Mountain Goats are indeed present along this stretch of highway, too, but are often restricted to the higher peaks; a spotting scope or good binoculars are helpful for seeing them. The Dall's Sheep are sometimes seen very close to the highway!
