I'm betting this is the pump in the yard of a house, which some say used to be a gas station, in Steele's Tavern, Virginia. That's a town at the entrance road toward Vesuvius, another photogenic area. If you go further on up the road through Vesuvius, you'll pass Glenn Falls. It's on private property but the owners allow you on if you respect the property. Then continue on up to catch Crabtree falls. All worth the trip. That is... IF this pump is the one I think it is.
