With a population of 6.7 million people on 386 square miles, Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Most of the new high rise buildings featured in the Hong Kong Cityscapes gallery were built within the last 30 years replacing old architecture or on reclaimed land.
What's left are buildings mostly from the 1950s built to house the rapidly expanding refugee population of the time. Eventually, these will be lost.
