  Coloured splendour
    They have researched the traces of paint pigment that are still to be found on the ship, and here they have reconstructed a small piece of it. Imagine the whole ship looking like this!

  Colouring detail
    It should be obvious that restraint and good taste were nowhere to be found in this time period. But then again, neither were the ancient Roman statues and temples tastefully marble-white.
