Spent three days with my family in this beautiful part of New England. Photographic opportunities abound here but I found myself challenged by competing obligations and weather that I could neither anticipate nor control. I saw one sunrise in my time here. Despite these limitations and the limitations of my own skill, "Downeast" Maine remains one of America's gems - an absolute joy to photograph.
