Trivandrum

Or Whatever it's called. Went for a long weekend, mostly to try and get a good photograph of the Padmanabhaswami (I know i spelled it wrong) temple. And i managed to get a few. It's a really nice city. Lots of nice villas and tons of pilgrims. The day I got there, there was a general strike, so mostly nothing was open. It was difficult even to get a cup of coffee. The streets were pretty empty. But then everything was fine the next day. Another thing I noticed was a distinct lack of cattle. So we can add Trivandrum to Kolkata as two major Indian cities I've been to with no cattle. And both Kerala and West Bengal are run by Marxists. Is there a connection?
