First town in Rwanda. I got a motorbike from Kisoro to the border and then a minibus from the border to this nice little town, surrounded by volcanoes and devoted to the gorilla seeing industry. I didn't see any gorillas, not having 700 dollars to toss away on a pre-packaged, regulated and insanely expensive "experience." I can just go to a zoo. But the town is nice. Went for a walk in the villages and was warned, by a sweet little girl, as I approached one village, that if I went any further, bad men would shoot me and steal my camera.
Goofing off for the idiot American
Just before I was told I would soon be shot and robbed
Quite a beautiful compound, filled with flowers.

It was the first sunny day I'd seen in at least a week and a half.
