So we flew to Pokhara to see the mountains. I was skeptical. Mountains? I wondered. Big deal. But they were pretty impressive. And despite Pokhara being, as LP rightly says, "Thamel on a lake" we enjoyed our time here fairly well. We stayed in a swish hotel and caught up on our BBC and CNN and had some nice meals. Robin kept ordering curries that left him disappointed, but Sareh and I had meal after meal of well grilled chicken.
Our Yeti Air plane. It was fine.

So one day we went for a hike

We climbed about 3 hours to see this. (We took a taxi down)
