I'm fond of warning travellers away from KL, and it's true it was not my favorite city. But I'm starting to think back fondly upon it. I was in a bad neighborhood, crawling with shopping malls. And I was only there for a couple of days. But it was a very nice city, and the people I met were incredibly kind, gentle people. And the street stalls had excellent food.
There was just too much red in this picture not to snap it.

Chinese architecture?
Lord Ganesha
A nice waterfront
The only city in Asia in which I saw motorbike lunatics being ticketed. Gratifying, eh?

The hotel I stayed in. I wish I could remember it's name; it was so beautiful.
i know. i think what made me so hard on it was how bicycle and pedestrian unfriendly it is. i'm sure there are wonderful parts of it. i was just in a bad section, and only there for three days. it was nice to see the motorbike guys getting tickets though. i wish vietnam would crack down on them.
This is what most tourist see of KL. Out of downtown, there are very nice residence. Of course there ppl. who still live in a not so nice and comfortable flats.. Back in the 50's, there were old and dirty flats in downtown KL. It has changed for the past 20yrs..in fact, KL changes every few years. It's still quite a livable place. Depends on which area you're living.
