I really loved Hue. It's a very small town and it rains a LOT, but the temples, palaces and pagodas are really amazing. I stayed on the Citadel side of the river, which I want to call by the forbidden city, but I think that's the wrong word. It was nice, but there are no restaurants over there and you have to walk about 3/4 a mile in the morning to eat. Not a tremendous hardship, but, you know. Coffee.
Man, does it rain in Hue.
And rain

Sentries
I lost track of what was what.
These guys fixed my camera. The Vietnamese can fix anything. Same camera broke again in Laos. No comment on the Lao.

Here I was getting really scared
I like this photo, even though technically it's terrible.
Path through a rice paddy outside of town. Just before the arrival of the thugs
But the temples are so beautiful
Even though they are crawling with tourists
