If you can stand the tourists, a nice little town. Some days I hated it here so much I wanted to put a bullet through my head, but all in all, you can't deny the beauty. There were more American accents here than anywhere I was in the Balkans.

You pay someone 15 kuna and you can climb up on the wall and take photos of the tile roofs. Best 15 kuna I've ever spent

Beautiful - so glad I found the link to your pics of Dubrovnik on Lonely Planet. I went there for my first European trip ever/honeymoon and was completely blown away. If you go on "off season", you can avoid the Yanks, but Monday morning when the German tour ships dock, head for Lokrum...ahh Lokrum
