Family Sepsidae - Antlike Scavenger Flies
Sepsids are long-legged flies with globular heads and slender, relatively hairless bodies. They are usually noticed as they patrol leaf surfaces while waving their wings. They are attracted to decaying matter, in which their larvae develop.
