Flying Stick, Parastratocles forcipatus (Pseudophasmatidae: Stratocleinae)

Tiputini Forest Reserve, Prov. Orellana, Ecuador

Unlike most stick insects, this flying stick is brilliantly striped and even slightly iridescent. This attractive species is a strong flyer and readily attracted to lights.
