Scrambled Egg Slime (Fuligo septica)

Preservation Park, Guelph, Ontario

Oozing out of decaying hardwood on a humid night, attended by a pair of fungus gnats (Mycetophilidae). This member of the slime mould family Physaridae is also known as the "Dog Vomit Slime".
