Stephen -- I am very happy to see your photo, as I found an identical larva last weekend in Baltimore, MD, USA. Can you tell me if you were able to identify this to species level based on the larva's markings or did you have rear it to adulthood? If the former, what markings are considered diagnostic from other Xylophagus species?
