Order Ephemeroptera - Mayflies

"Ephemeral wing" is a fitting description of the adults' short lifespan, which is no more than a few hours to a few days. The mayfly life cycle includes entirely aquatic nymphs, a milky-winged emergent subimago, and reproductively mature imago.
