It was crowded, I had no tripod and there was poor lighting and a very high contrast between the bright window and Michelangelo's Pieta. To bring out the image I did different edits on the background (especially the window) and the forground: Apply image (add) on everything except the window, color correction on the forground (with emphasis on the statue itself) and level and contrast correction on the statue to bring out more detail.
