I spent a week in the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks from Sept. 15th through Sept. 22
It was quite smoky due to the fires and lack of rain in the area. There were mornings that you couldn't even see the Teton's...thus, not so many pictures of the mountains.
Yellowstone was busy with the elk rut. There was a 7x7 bull elk and a 6x6 up in the Mammoth Hot Springs area. The 6x6 was quite fiesty and midway through the week his tally was up over 40 cars that he had attacked.
I was lucky enough to catch the bighorn sheep a few times. They were between the North Entrance and Mammoth.
I focused mainly on the wildlife, that is why you will not see very many scenery pictures this time around. Please see my previous years galleries for more of those type of pictures.
