These photos were taken at the Collingwood Arts Center, a former convent and Catholic school
near downtown Toledo that is now used as an artist colony. Part of the building dates to the Civil War era. It
was the former convent for the Ursuline Order of the Sacred Heart, and later housed the Mary Manse College
and St. Ursula Academy. The nuns and their charges moved out a couple of decades ago. It is a beautiful old
building full of wonderful surprises.
I have wonderful memories of attending school in this building. Your beautiful photography definitely does it justice.
thank you for honoring this vintage building.
