Once Grand Old Lady

Detroit

The much photographed and sadly decayed Michigan Central Station in Detroit's Corktown.
The station was built in 1913 and last used by trains until 1988. Over the years it has become
a home for the homeless and a magnet for urban explorers. Every window in the building is broken and
the insides are gutted. Driving by on the nearby Lodge Expressway, you can see right through
the building. A fence topped by razor wire surrounds the building.

it looks a noble building despite falling on hard times. Perhaps an entrepreneur can be found to give it a new lease of life as a restaurant or something...
