A Bit of EverythingToday had sun, warm temperatures, wind from every direction, wind speeds from 5 to 50 km/h, rain and tonight, a risk of frost. And Princess, then Trey, were velcroed on the eggs for the most part. Trey got flipped off the eggs a couple of times but with the warm temperatures, he was never in a big rush to get back on. Princess on the other hand this morning was panting in the heat. As I said, a bit of everything today. My recommendation is to watch this gallery as a slideshow. In most of the images, you can see some rigging lines, we are currently hoping to get to the nestledge over the weekend to install an nest-tray to raise the eggs (and later the chicks) a bit higher in case we should have heavy rains like last year. Trey and Princess will still be responsible for keeping them try from the rain coming down, but the tray hopefully will keep them drier from below. Trey & Princess kept an eye on the lines but neither of them moved from the eggs as a result of them. Not surprising, they are both very used to, and tolerant of most human activities around the Hotel. Peregrine Falcon Recovery Project (Manitoba) |
