Radisson Peregrines - April 2009

The fun at the Radisson began this month ... Apr 1 - more snow, just what we need when we are facing spring floods on pretty much all the rivers in the Winnipeg area. Apr 3 - we have confirmed that our resident male is once again Trey. This is his 9th year at the Radisson Hotel. Apr 7 - with the help of Pam, one of our downtown spotters, we have confirmed the female is our resident female, Princess. Apr 19 - first egg laid on the east side nest ledge Apr 20 - second egg laid Apr 22 - third egg laid and incubation begins in earnest Apr 30 - finally we get our first look at the final egg count - 4! April was warmer than last year, but still a bit cool overall. According to weather experts, May looks to be drier & warmer/hotter. As long as its drier than last year, the peregrines will be happy!
